Today, 34 companies and organisations including large companies, associations, and business networks have joined forces to call on the European Commission to place energy efficiency at the heart of Europe’s response to the ongoing energy crisis.
As the EU faces rising energy prices and geopolitical uncertainty, immediate and scalable solutions are needed. Energy efficiency offers a readily available and cost-effective answer to reduce energy demand and strengthen Europe’s energy independence.
Improving energy efficiency will not only reduce costs for citizens and businesses, but also support electrification, enhance energy security, and strengthen Europe’s resilience.
The signatories call on EU institutions to act swiftly by accelerating the implementation of existing legislation and unlocking investment in energy efficiency solutions.
The technologies exist. The case is clear. Now is the time to act.
