As Europe faces geopolitical instability, record-high energy prices, and the urgent need to address climate change, immediate and ambitious solutions are required. A strong post-2030 framework, built on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and renewable-based electrification, offers a clear path to phase out fossil fuels and secure Europe’s energy future.
Setting binding targets for renewable energy and energy efficiency will not only reduce costs for citizens and businesses but also strengthen Europe’s security, competitiveness, and affordability.
The signatories urge EU institutions to act swiftly by setting ambitious targets and accelerating the transition to a sustainable energy system.
